Law of Polarity Class Notes 6/18

Thanks to everyone who came to Junes class! I had a great time! I hope you enjoyed the exercise we did to help in grasping something concrete in how the thought process works. I can't post those notes on the blog- because it won't really make sense as it was an exercise, but I will post all of the things about the Law of Polarity! Here you go! See you next month!!

The Law/Principle of Relativity and the Law of Polarity are similar in that they are both tools to help you feel and find gratitude about a negative situation.

9 Law of Polarity: EVERYTHING HAS AN OPPOSITE

“Everything, and I mean everything of consequence has an opposite. Its law. You can’t fall six feet down from being four feet up. You can’t turn left without coming from the right. ‘Yes’ only exists because ‘No’ does too, otherwise it would be meaningless.” Leslie Householder

This is common and well known- so why is it so important to understand it?

Because, BY LAW, the experiences or circumstances that we call “bad,” “negative,” or “unfortunate,” are in every case, GOOD FOR US! BY LAW!!

If they aren’t the obvious positive and “feel-good” experiences, they are thn character building experiences, which are always good for us, even if we don't see it in the present moment. But we can learn to do that!

Just by knowing that opposition in all things is a natural part of life can help us with trials and disappointments.

9 Law of Polarity: EVERYTHING HAS AN OPPOSITE THAT IS OF EQUAL DEGREE

Ex) if it is 10 miles from my house to the store, then it is equally 10 miles from the store tomy hous! On a Thought level: If something is a little bit bad, then within it is something a little bit good. If something is catastrophic, then by law of opposites, there is within it, something phenomenal!

9 “Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent of greater benefit.” Napoleon Hill
This is truly POWERFUL becuase: The worse it seems, the better it is, in truth: BY LAW!It is up to our attitude and thought control on how we view it! So what happens when we reverse the equation: The better it seems, the worse it really is? is this true? Yes- but not worse in consequence. By looking at things as good, then good things follow. It is just crucial to remember:

WWHERE MUCH IS GIVEN MUCH IS REQUIRED! There is responsibility in attaining knowledge, in recieving blessings. It is up to us to be good stewards over ALL that we have been given (even knowledge!)

Elder Worthlin Quote: “Come what may and love it” (Ensign, Nov 2008, pg 26.)

“How can we love days that are filled with sorrow? We can’t- at least not in the moment. I don’t think my mother was suggesting that we suppress discouragement or deny the reality of pain. I don’t think she was suggesting that we smother unpleasant truths beneath a cloak of pretended happiness. But I do believe that the way we react to adversity can be a major factor in how happy and successful we can be in life. If we approach adversities wisely, our hardest times can be times of greatest growth, which in turn can lead toward times of greatest happiness.” Joseph B. Worthlin

Remember that thinking positive is a learned skill

9 “While easy to find, true principles are not easy to live until they become an established pattern in life. They will require you to dislodge false ideas.”
Richard G. Scott

9 “To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to ender the ranks of the strong ones who only recognize failure as on of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and to think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.” James Allen

These two principles of thought: The Law of Relativity and Polarity- with practice and application will significantly aid you in finding joy and the ability to see abundance in all you do!

9 A couple of ffirmations to help the law of Polarity become an established pattern in your life: “It’s all good.”
“As I look for good, more good comes my way.”
“All things work together for my good."

Education is Key!

Over the past year we have found that many people have heard about essential oils and have even used some of them. Some have been disappointed with the way the essential oils were explained to work, but they themselves did not have the same results. Some have used the oils only for the aromatic properties. And some have just put their oils on the back of their shelves and left them there, not really knowing what or how to use them. For all of these reasons, and others, we have continued to teach our monthly classes on the many uses of these wonderful oils. We have found that by EDUCATING the people on how to properly use these oils, they grow and learn and actually begin to teach others about the oils. The circle of knowledge only gets bigger and bigger. This is a dream come true for me and Katie. We can only see good coming from using essential oils, and teaching others how to become more self reliant with their home health and medicinal needs. Can you imagine paying yourself...

Geranium Oil Spotlight

Geranium (April 2009) Have you ever tried Geranium Oil? Used for years as a gentle and calming single oil known for improving a variety of skin conditions (including dry eczema, burns, shingles, ringworm, lice, acne, cuts and wounds and even herpes or cold sores). It helps relieve pain, soothes anxiety and stress, diminishes swelling and inflammation, is sedative and useful for nervousness, and renowned for healing burns, wounds, and skin ulcers. It is used for sore breasts of lactating mothers. It is an excellent mosquito repellant. Some have used Geranium to stop excessive bleeding and nosebleeds, and during labor and delivery to prevent hemorrhage. An oil I wouldn't be without if you have a family with any skin conditions. For external use, mix 12 drops of geranium oil to about 1 cup of distilled water. Since oil is not readily dissolved in water, mix well before using. Wash the skin with this blend as needed. Another way to use geranium oil is to mix 60 drops in one cup of oliv...

I just read a post from 10 years ago!

Hello there! Do you remember these posts from so many years ago? It is very interesting to see how things change in one decade! Only ten  years ago, essential oils were a 'hippie dippie' strange voodoo language only cave dwelling witches and hags knew the magical powers of. Ha ha...well, maybe hags is too strong of a label.  However that is not the case any longer, is it?! Essential oil knowledge is sweeping the globe in leaps and bounds. The scientific evidence of positive feedback is piling up in mountainous stacks of positive proof that essential oils are the new rage in supporting a healthy lifestyle. How are you doing with this?  Did you fully jump onto the essential oil bandwagon or did you tip toe into the oils world? Where are you at right now? How are things going for you in life?  Honestly there is so much knowledge out there about using oils I feel we can look and search pretty much anything we are interested in and find successful options to su...
