Law of Relativity Challenge/"homework"

The Law of Relativity states that: nothing is either good or bad until you compare it with something else. This means that whatever your situation or circumstance might be is neither good or bad until YOU decide to attatch a postitive or negative meaning to it. We have the agency to do that.

Challenge: When something comes up in your life that you aren't quite liking, practice controlling your thoughts and emotions. Say to yourself: "This Just IS, its up to me to decide whether it is good or bad. This situation JUST IS, until I decide."

Take a moment to ponder someone else that might be going through something worse than you, reflect for a moment on how it could really be worse- and notice how your situation all of a sudden becomes not quite as bad as you just thought it was.

Know that all things are given for our benefit and learning and though you may not see the GOOD in it right now, you can know that it exists and be grateful for the learning you will soon be expeiencing and be grateful for you challenge.

What did you just do? You just attatched a positive meaning to your current situation!! What does this do? It raises your vibration- it allows your mind to stay open to a higher frequency of thinking where a better solution to your challenge right now exists- and believe me, it is better than you could have imagined on the old frequency that you would have been thinking on if you decided to not take some control and throw a fit and attatch a negative meaning to what just happened.

This is a HUGE step to beginning to control your thoughts!! This is your challenge until next class! Keep track of your success and thoughts in a journal and we'll talk about it next class! Good luck and have fun with this. Its not always easy, but it is so rewarding to know you DO have control in your life.

While we may not have control over our circumstances in life, we do have control in the way we FEEL about them- and to me, I LIKE FEELING HAPPY! Give it a try. Good Luck!

The Stickman Concept: A Mind Model If I were to ask you to figure the sum of 756, 237,967 plus 234, 765, 876 in your head, could you do it? ......think.. think.. think..... That's a tough one right? But what if I asked you to write it down, then could you? Of Course you could!! You were able to SEE it! The stickman concept is just that. It is a visual representation of how our mind works. It is a very helpful tool to allow you to SEE what you are DOING inside your head. It covers the flow of our thoughts and what our thoughts actually do to us. So now I propose a question to you. Do your thoughts serve you or hold you back? (or have you ever thought about that?) After I learned this model I not only became more aware of my thoughts, but I learned how to effectively filter and control them. I have truly gained a grater awareness of how our minds work. I had heard all of my life positive phrases like: "Reach for the Stars", "Dream Big", "You are the one who w...

I just read a post from 10 years ago!

Hello there! Do you remember these posts from so many years ago? It is very interesting to see how things change in one decade! Only ten  years ago, essential oils were a 'hippie dippie' strange voodoo language only cave dwelling witches and hags knew the magical powers of. Ha ha...well, maybe hags is too strong of a label.  However that is not the case any longer, is it?! Essential oil knowledge is sweeping the globe in leaps and bounds. The scientific evidence of positive feedback is piling up in mountainous stacks of positive proof that essential oils are the new rage in supporting a healthy lifestyle. How are you doing with this?  Did you fully jump onto the essential oil bandwagon or did you tip toe into the oils world? Where are you at right now? How are things going for you in life?  Honestly there is so much knowledge out there about using oils I feel we can look and search pretty much anything we are interested in and find successful options to su...
